Dayna Dunbar
Spiritual & Therapeutic Counselor

Shamanic Journey Counselor
For the last several years, Dayna has been supporting clients using the ancient shamanic and current cutting-edge practice in psychology—sacred journey work. She has guided clients on more than 60 journeys, trained under a mentor in Boulder, CO, who has been doing this work or more than a dozen years. Dayna has also taken workshops and courses from PESI and The Heart Mind Institute.
Author
Dayna is also an award-winning spiritual novelist published by Ballantine Books. Her visionary storytelling, as illustrated in her latest book, Awake: The Legacy of Akara, offers an entertaining, fast-paced adventure and a vision of what we may become if we choose the path of conscious evolution.
Personal background
Dayna’s healing and awakening path began as they so often do—because of great suffering. In addition to severe childhood trauma, Dayna began to experience debilitating chronic illness as a freshman in college and found that Western medicine was not working. As an agnostic at the time, it was only through this ungentle push that she began searching for alternative modalities and found acupuncture, energy healing, holistic health practices, meditation and the idea of a mind/body/spirit connection.
Dayna began a regular meditation practice at nineteen and since then has pursued, through all of the approaches she now teaches, the highest potential of the Earth experience—realizing the spiritual Truth of Self and of all Being.
